Eileen was inspired to make this charming bottle of hope from some medicine bottles I brought to the Guild from my Cancer Hospital. It’s an interactive bottle with removable magic wands. I just love it!
The ladies at the Clayathon made Bottles of Hope we distributed to the inpatients at my hospital (www.ctca-hope.com) and the patients [...]

Sue Springer’s Excellent Art-O-Mat Adventure
So here’s a report from our Prez on her trip to the Art-o-Mat (http://www.artomat.org/home.html). Thanks to Barbara Forbes-Lyon for the orginal article on this at the new NPCG website: www.npcg.org.)
Take it away, Sue:
So, I went to the Art-o-mat. I’m pretty sure it is like crack cocaine in that it’s instantly addictive.
It’s at my public [...]

This will turn your lights on!
I really loved Patti’s terrific light pulls. She has festively decorated these whimisical shapes for a unique and useful result.
In her spare time, Patti has been a great help as our Photo Webmistress for our Flickr account: http://www.flickr.com/photos/papcg/sets/ . We appreciate all she does for the Guild!

I need your help!
It is a feature of our memory that we are able to recall the beginning and end of a long list of items much better than those in the middle. Furthermore, the mind can only remember 7 plus or minus 2 unrelated facts handily. Well we had a lot of facts to learn at our [...]

Legacy of a Guest Artist
I just love Sandee’s take on Eugena Topina’s technique. She was paying attention at the last meeting!
Nice job with the pearly beads on the necklace that Sandee hand rolled and tossed in a plastic bag of PearlEx “like Shake N Bake.” They look like pearls in person, that’s for sure!

A new kind of Artist Trading Cards?
So Robin showed us these nifty cards she got from her Flickr photos. There is a company that prints up these little mini business cards with your own photos for about $0.25 each. They advertise on Flickr if you want some of your own.
Here you see some of Robin’s mini foods that look good enough [...]

March Show and Tell: Marvelous Mezuzot
Arlene taught us the plural for Mezuzah and showed us some real beauties. (If you are not familiar or want to learn more see: http://www.torahscribe.com/mezuzah.htm)
Arlene has always been known for her passion for polymer and cutting edge techniques. I was not alone in those who observed these Mezuzot to be her best and most delightful [...]

Reporting from our Prez
I was on National’s new website and they had a little article by Barbara Forbes-Lyons on vending machines for collectable art. They are called Art-o-mats. Check them out. (www.npcg.org)
There’s a link to find their locations. I happen to have one right near my house at the public library. I just never get to the library any [...]

Name that Artist!
So when we saw these offerings on the Show and Tell Table it was a bit of a puzzle. The Artist is an active member of the Guild, but she is clearly branching out to some new designs.
The pieces are lovely and all have her characteristic level of excellent craftsmanship.
Can you guess who made these?
(answer [...]

March Meeting Show and Tell: Gwen’s Masterpiece
Well we were all impressed with Gwen’s lovely neckpiece. The detail is amazing!
Several members offered to wear it (home, I think), but she cleverly had it pinned to the display. We look forward to seeing more pieces from Gwen!
(I did try to post this yesterday, but there was some problem with the picture upload. I [...]
